Traditional seismic retrofit approaches tend to rely on providing increased strength and stiffness to resist lateral forces. Performance-based design enhances seismic resistance by improving a structure’s ability to deform under computer-simulated conditions. KGA’s analysis tools include static, dynamic and inelastic pushover programs. In addition, buildings are modeled in 3-dimension by SAP2000, and analyzed under base excitations and seismic equivalent prescribed forces.
