Description: We are a growing, well-established structural engineering firm in Vancouver, WA-- seeking a skilled, Front Office/HR Coordinator. This position is the first impression of the organization for internal and external clients. The front office is primarily responsible for front desk, office process coordination and production, including engineering proposals, reporting, and marketing material preparation. HR coordination includes company employee communication, point of contact for management and employee questions, benefits administration, HR recordkeeping, on-boarding, off boarding and support of management and staff. This position works closely with the accounting department.

Skills: We are looking for a multifaceted individual that can provide support to all departments and clients. An individual who takes initiative that is friendly, approachable, and energetic with outstanding verbal and written communication skills including editing documents with the ability to understand technical language, basic math, and accounting principles to support the team and clients. The individual will have a working knowledge of employee engagement, team building, employment Law for the State of Washington, employee resolution, and basic HR practices.

Requirements: Working knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, benefits administrations, performance management, and employment law. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including but not limited to grammatical and mathematical communications, business/technical/engineering writing, and editing skills. Demonstrated ability to professionally and securely maintain confidentiality with all company information. Responsible with a strong work ethic, integrity, problem-solving, and ability to take initiative. Ability to work with all departments and assists with communication inter-departmental to help create a team environment. Calmly handles interruptions and competing priorities; flexible; adapts well to changing needs with the ability to prioritize and ask questions when needed. Ability to organize, coordinate, multi-task and complete work accurately while meeting deadlines. Ability to develop marketing brochures and other materials as needed. Capable of using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; IT equipment, telecommunications, and office equipment.

Description: Kramer Gehlen & Associates, Inc. (KGA), Vancouver, Washington, is seeking an entry level structural designer to join our team. Responsibilities will include performing engineering calculations and performing construction administration duties.

Skills: The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of codes and engineering software and exposure to the construction industry. Experience in the use of Revit Structures is highly desirable.

Requirements: Candidates with a Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis and related experience are preferred, but other candidates will be considered.
