Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) installation has begun at the new iTech Preparatory School for the Vancouver School District on the campus of Washington State University Vancouver. This steel framed structure will be the STEM based school’s new permanent home to open in winter 2020. The CLT consists of 5-ply 2×6’s stacked with each layer perpendicular to each other and glued together creating a slab of wood up to 9’-10” wide and 39’-10” long.
