Project Description

One of the first buildings in the new Vancouver Waterfront Development, Block 9 is a two-story, 20,000 sf wedge-shaped restaurant building on the bank of the Columbia River, overlooking the Grant Street Pier. The structure consists of conventional composite concrete and steel framing, with special steel concentric brace frames, over a foundation supported by stone column ground improvements. The design is intended to evoke an outdoor pavilion feel, with extensive glass and a soaring roof.
